FLORIDA OFFICIALS WERE BARRED FROM USING THE TERM 'CLIMATE CHANGE' ONCE RISK SCOTT TOOK POWER
The officials responsible for Florida's preparedness for climate change are restricted from using the terms "global warming" and "climate change" in official communications, emails and reports. Miami, Florida is one of the most vulnerable cities to damage from rising sea levels, so climate change is a major problem in Florida. Now scientist are frustrated with state governor, Scott, for not taking the problem seriously. Scott does not believe in global warming. The policy against mentioning global warming went into effect after Scott took office in 2011.
